My first post






Well, this is my first attempt at being a blogger. I have felt the urge lately with all the blog watching I have been doing. I have come across some great blogs that are helping me stay motivated to keep on running. I am not a fast, great runner. I am just trying to get my miles in. I have signed up for the Rock n Roll San Antonio half marathon. I am super excited about this and the challenge I have in front of. The other craziness is that my husband and I have decided to build a house and we close two days before my half marathon. It has been a crazy roller coaster for a the last month and I am ready to figure it all out. So... I thought I would share some of my experiences along the way so that my friends and family who don't live close can keep up.







This morning was my first run in about 2 weeks with my running partner. She is a huge motivation to me. I usually spend the first part of the run catching up on things and talking, then the second part I chase her back, since her pace is faster than mine. She is a great training buddy since we can push each other:) This morning we did about 3.5 miles but I am afraid to say that we walked about a mile. No worries, just getting back into it. An exercise class I go to starts back up tomorrow morning at 5:50 am so I am ready for some fun times, then more miles on Thursday and Saturday with my running partner. I hope to get a good long run in, about six miles on Saturday so I will keep my miles logged.
